Sign the Declaration of Deeds as an Individual

The main purpose of the Declaration of Deeds is to provide a kind of litmus test for groups so that individuals can know as a bare minimum baseline where a group or kindred stands on the issues of folkism, sexism, and racism by signing onto the declaration.

In this way, an individual searching for a group that was not folkish could know that at least at face value that the groups listed as signatories on the Declaration of Deeds espouse principles of inclusion.

While the Declaration of Deeds was not specifically designed to be signed by individuals, I know that many individuals want to be able to express their agreement with these principles. This page is designed for just that.

If you would like to sign onto the Declaration of Deeds as an individual to show your support for the principles this declaration stands for, you may make a comment below.

By commenting on this page, I am declaring my support for the principles outlined in the Declaration of Deeds:

  1. I pledge to uphold the Declaration of Deeds in its whole. With this pledge I swear I also ensure that all Asatru and Heathens alike are aware that we are a welcoming folk, and that they may not be our kin but they are just as welcome in the eyes of the Gods and their followers.

  9. I am part of a group of Pagans. We have always believed in inclusivity, yet my clan don’t know about the Declaration of Deeds. I plan to introduce it to them when we celebrate Mabon in September. We all very much resonate with the precepts of the Declaration of Deeds. We’re a diverse group of many races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages and (dis)abilities. All are welcome, all can participate, all are included. It’s good to know that what we’ve been doing instinctively is also understood and practiced by the greater community of Heathens. Soon we’ll sign this as a group, for now I’ll sign it as the representative of our group.

  18. excellent principles to stand behind. individuals are to be judged by their merits, deeds, and actions. the choices they make, the thoughts they think that they make known. not matters that are beyond someone’s control.
